Artificial Flower
Sizewell Nuclear Island
mid-21st century
As flowering plants declined due to a changing climate and the demise of pollinating insects, flowers began to be manufactured out of man-made materials. The re-planting of coastal areas with artificial vegetation following storm events was particularly prevalent from the mid-21st century to stop runaway erosion, particularly in the vicinity of the Sizewell nuclear island.
