Food & Drink
Enjoy illegal dining at the IMoB
The Illegal Cafés at the Edge of the Anthropocene and its franchises; The Big Bang Burger Bar (built at the very beginning of time) & The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, are led by celebrity Head Chef Douglas Adams, author of 'The Fine Diner's Guide to the Galaxy'.
We use time travel to provide customers with the experience of the biggest events in the history of the universe: its creations and its demises.
We offer a range of inclusive food and drink options in our cafés, fast food stations, themed lunches, and fine dining restaurant.
We cater for all palates with deep pockets (please note we are not able to accommodate requests of those with unusual food allergies, dietary requirements, or restricted incomes).
We cater for all forms of personal crises (apart from financial ones!)
The Illegal Cafés at the Edge of the Anthropocene
A freshly made selection of ready-to-eat meals, snacks, sandwiches, salads, delicious desserts, and cakes, as well as thirst quenching hot and cold drinks. Ideal for grabbing a quick rest bite inbetween exhibitions, while you plan your next purchase from the Museum Shop.
Plenty of seating for solo diners and large groups, with family-friendly eating areas, where (only) purchases from the Museum’s Cafés may be consumed.

The Café of Perpetual Cultural Revolution
Freshly made Asian style food and drink (big pot rural style noodle, dumpling, and rice dishes) for the people by the proletariat. Freshly refurbished liminal space, full of camaraderie and ideological fervour brought down upon capitalist roaders.
No dogs, class enemies, counter revolutionary revisionists, or propagandists allowed.

The Big Bang Burger Bar
High velocity family-friendly fast food station. Ethically made hi-fat burgers, fresh salty salads, and indulgent hi-sugar deserts, packed with all the calories you need to fuel your museum tour. Hopefully for you this will not be the way your world ends, not with a bang, nor a Wimpy.
In the south-east corner of the Visitor Interpretation Centre. Just turn left immediately after you leave the Community Hybrid Forum and you will smell the deep fat frying.

The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
Enjoy a refined dining experience with a surreal feel. Perfect for marking a special occasion, or treating yourself, as only you deserve, when you visit the IMoB. As our exclusive customer, you will travel through time in a protective bubble projected into the future, take your place at a sumptuous table, and fine dine whilst the whole of creation explodes about you.
Advance booking is essential, it is not presently possible to accommodate walk-ins on the day.
