The UK has a proud history of protecting multispecies refugees, and continues to provide a global sanctuary for the victims of colonialism and human centred agricultural atrocities.
Potatoes were amongst the earliest victims of colonial capitalism and became one of its most exploited victims.
Potatoes continue to suffer the historical injustices of forced displacement, coercive breeding programmes, destruction of family life, and genocidal commercial agricultural practices for the sole benefit of humans.

These atrocities sanctioned by the International Potato Centre (Centro Internecinal de Papa (CIP) cannot continue.
