Not-fossilised remains of a small votive figure

Expert IMoB Curatorial research suggested that the figure once formed part of a religious reliquary (gungervaa) used in rituals at the time in Inner Mongolian.
It was common to detach heads from desecrated votive figures to deactivate their spiritual power.

Mid Anthropocene not-fossil beds surrounding the Muskva River in the former Russia.
Previously, an antiquarian fossil trafficker had linked the object with geological strata in the former Germany.
This appears to have been a tactic of this archaic unregulated illicit trade to avoid taxes
Damaged fragments have been expertly conserved by conservationist technicians at the IMoB .​
