Our recent discovery of fossils, containing an early form of musical instrument designed to entertain cats, reveals a history of animal worship. The artefact consists of two circles which combine to form a food container. At this particular period in history, people prayed to and devoted attention and care to cats in the belief that it would bring good luck to themselves
Palaeo-musoid analysis is underway to reconstruct this instrument from its preserved remains, so that we can once again hear the sounds made by our ancient ancestors with our own ears. This research is also examining a link to archival accounts of a primitive devotion to cat deities, thought to bring good luck to devotees during a period of considerable turmoil.
